How to close the seam under raglan sleeve (Kitchener sts, grafting, weaving)
First, we show how to sew together so we get an invisible seam. Remember not to tighten the thread and sew from RS. Stitches should be same size as the knitted stitches. At thicker yarn it avoids that it becomes a thick seam on the back.
Then we show how to sew together by sewing together the seam in the inner loops of edge sts. You get a thicker stitching on the outside, but it will not show up when it comes under arm.

The video shows 2 different methods of sewing up the underarm area. 1st method shows sewing V's (using 2 legs of the stitch) on arm to tepee's (using 2 legs of the stitch) on the body, in the underarm area - the result looks like knitting. 2nd method joins one strand of a stitch on each side of the gap, at sleeve and on body - a bit more chunky, but it won't be seen. Could DROPS create knit in the round instructions, including the increases and decreases, so none of this is necessary?

Dear Barbara, in most of jumpers and cardigans worked top down the stitches mid under sleeves are then picked up on first row on sleeves to avoid a seam. This technique is still useful when working from the bottom up for a raglan or even a round yoke. Happy knitting!

It is unfortunate the watermark covers the first stitch. Maybe you could check this in the future and move the watermark to the top of the video when everything happens in the bottom of the screen.

Un consiglio: quando fate i video cercate di mettere la scritta del sito in un punto in cui non impedisce la visione totale del lavoro. Meglio metterlo su un lato, per altro ideo ottimo. Grazie.

Buongiorno Rosita. Generalmente quando si lavora dall'alto verso il basso e si riportano le maglie della manica sui ferri di lavoro, vengono avviate nuove maglie sotto la manica (quelle che poi verrano cucite come nel video) e vengono lavorate. Faccia sempre riferimento alle spiegazioni del modello scelto. Buon lavoro!

Bonjour Irène, si vous avez bien vérifié vos réglages, paramètres, et mises à jour, il peut s'agir d'un bug passager de vimeo. Un nettoyage de votre cache peut parfois également aider. Bon tricot!
