Gauge: 9 sts x 14 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.

Knitting tips (for raglan shaping):
All decs for raglan are made on right side rows, inside 2 edge sts on Body and inside 1 edge st on sleeves. Dec 1 st as follows:
After edge sts: sl 1, K 1, psso.
Before edge sts: K 2 tog.

Left front: Cast on 24-25-27-29 sts with 2 strands Highlander. Change to 1 strand and knit 6 rows garter st, then knit stockinette st, keeping 4 sts at center front edge in garter st throughout for button band. When the piece measures 6-6-7-7 cm [2 3/8" - 2 3/8" - 2 3/8" - 2.75" - 2.75"] inc 1 st at the side every 10-7-10-11 cm [4" - 2.75" - 4" - 4.25"] a total of 2-3-2-2 times = 26-28-29-31 sts. When the piece measures 27-28-30-31 cm [10 5/8" - 11" - 11.75" - 12.25"] bind off 3 sts at the side for armhole = 23-25-26-28 sts. Now shape raglan inside 2 edge sts (continue to knit edge sts in stockinette st) - see knitting tips. Dec 1 st 4-4-3-3 times every 4 rows and then 6-7-9-10 times every other row.
At the same time when the piece measures 40-42-44-46 cm [15.75" - 16.5" - 17.25" - 18 1/8"] bind off 6 sts at center front edge for neck. Bind off for the neck every other row: 2 sts 1-1-1-2 times and then 1 st 3-4-4-3 times. After raglan and neck shaping is complete, 2 sts remain on each shoulder, bind off. The piece measures approx. 48-50-52-54 cm [18 7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5" - 21.25"].

Right front: Knit the same as the left, reversing all shaping - but make buttonholes along button band as follows: bind off the 3rd st from center front edge and on the next row yo over the bound off st. Make buttonholes when the piece measures:
Size S: 2, 11, 21, 30 and 39 cm [0.75", 4.25", 8.25", 11.75" and 15.25"].
Size M: 2, 12, 22, 31 and 41 cm [0.75", 4.75", 8 5/8", 12.25" and 16 1/8"].
Size L: 2, 10, 18, 27, 35 and 43 cm [0.75", 4", 7", 10 5/8", 13.75" and 16 7/8"].
Size XL: 2, 11, 19, 28, 36 and 45 cm [0.75", 4.25", 7.5", 11", 14 1/8" and 17.75"].

Back: Cast on 40-42-46-50 sts with 2 strands Highlander. Change to 1 strand, knit 6 rows garter st and then knit stockinette st. Inc at each side as on front = 44-48-50-54 sts. When the piece measures 27-28-30-31 cm [10 5/8" - 11" - 11.75" - 12.25"] bind off 3 sts at each side = 38-42-44-48 sts. Now shape raglan as on front and when 1 raglan dec row remains bind off the center 14-16-16-18 sts for the neck. After last raglan dec 2 sts remain on each shoulder, bind off - the piece measures approx. 48-50-52-54 cm [18 7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5" - 21.25"].

Sleeve: Cast on 22-24-24-26 sts. Knit 6 rows garter st, then knit stockinette st. When the piece measures 5 cm [2"] inc 1 st at each side 7 times every 6 cm [2/38"] = 36-38-38-40 sts. When sleeve measures 47-46-47-46 cm [18.5" - 18 1/8" - 18.5" - 18 1/8"] bind off 3 sts at each side. Now shape raglan at each side inside of 1 edge st (which is knit in stockinette st) - see knitting tips.
Dec 1 st 2-2-2-2 times every 4 rows and then 1 st 10-11-11-12 times every other row = 6 sts remain.
Bind off, the piece measures approx. 68-68-69-69 cm [26.75" - 26.75" - 27 1/8" - 27 1/8"].

Assembly: Sew raglan seams using 1 edge st as seam allowance - be sure not to sew too tightly. Sew sleeve and side seams. Pick up approx. 35 to 45 sts around the neck (incl. over button bands). Knit 2 rows garter st, bind off loosely. Sew on buttons.
