Bon crochet!

Hi I really dont understand this pattern, to make the circle we close each round with a slip stitch and we chain 2? round 1 says to end with a chain, and round two to start with a double crochet, how do we close the round?
28.01.2021 - 15:48DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Brenninkmeijer, you start first round with 1 ch, then work 4 dc in ring of chains, 1 chain, then now work in the round without closing the rounds - you can insert a marker between the last stitch on previous round and the first stitch on next round to mark the beg of round and be able to check the number of stitches. Happy crocheting!

Buon lavoro!

I'm stuck again. Could you explain how to do the part where you pull diagonally up to next row and fasten with 1 sc in the first ch st bow from previous row. Thanks.
04.07.2014 - 20:43DROPS Design answered:
Dear Michelle, at the end of round, do not join with a sl st in 1st st from beg of round, but work last ch-loop with 3 ch and 1 sc in the 1st ch-loops at beg of round (2nd round starts now). Happy crocheting!

When the pattern says "Continue in this manner, increasing 4 sts each row (add 1 sc between each inc on successive rows)." Does that mean, just add one sc at the end of each row? I see you explained it once, but I still don't understand.
01.07.2014 - 16:32DROPS Design answered:
Dear Michelle, it means to continue the inc as before, working 1 more st between 2 inc, ie on row 7 work *1 sc in each of the first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, then row 8 work *1 sc in each of the first 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc*, and so on. Happy crocheting!

Dear Michelle, for this bag, you need 250 g DROPS Bomull-Lin, ie 250/50g = 5 balls. Happy crocheting!

DROPS Crocheted Purse in Bomull-Lin
DROPS 69-23 |

Crochet gauge: 18 sc x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"] . Purse: The purse is crocheted in the round from the bottom without turning work. Ch 3, form into a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Row 1: ch 1 + 4 sc in the ring, ch 1. Row 2: 2 sc in each sc from previous row = 8 sc - put a marker a beginning of row. Row 3: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 12 sc. Row 4: * 1 sc in each of the first 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 16 sc. Row 5: * 1 sc in each of first 3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 20 sc. Row 6: * 1 sc in each of the first 4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 24 sc. Continue in this manner, increasing 4 sts each row (add 1 sc between each inc on successive rows), until the piece measures 19 cm [7.5"] from center of ring. Work the next row as follows: 1 sc, * ch 3, skip over 2 sc and 1 sc in each of the next 3 sc * repeat from * - * around row - when last sc is worked and 3 ch sts remain before end of row, ch 3, pull diagonally up to the next row and fasten with 1 sc in the first ch-st bow from previous row. Continue to crochet this pattern for 18 cm [7"]. Work the next row as follows: Working 3 sc in each ch-st bow from previous row, crochet around entire row with sc. Then work 1 sc in each sc from previous row for 5 cm [2"]. Shoulder straps as follows: Crochet sc over approx. 10 cm [4"] at one side of purse. Turn and crochet sc across row, but do not work the last st of each row (that is, dec 1 sc per row) until strap measures approx. 5.5 cm [2-⅛"] wide. Then work sc over all sts until shoulder-strap measures approx. 55 cm [21-⅝"] long. Crochet an identical strap on the other side of purse. Sew ends of shoulder-straps together. |
