Bon crochet !
It was the first time I tried to follow instructions in english (I' m from Greece) and it was very easy! I just had to change the number of loops to feet in my x-small size and now I have the most beautiful summer bolero! Thank you!
Can you please explain how to increase 1 large loop per row after row 3. Thanks
Dear Mrs Smith, just repeat row 3 to inc 1 large loop. Happy crocheting!
Bon crochet !
Repeat row 3, i.e. inc 1 loop on every row, until there are 35-39-43-47-51-55 large ch-loops on row, finish the last row as follows: 1 sc + 3 ch + 1 sc in 4th ch in last ch-loop, turn piece. The inc are now complete. I'm confused at this part i'm about to add the 39th loop but do I continue as I have been or doing or do I add this on after the 39th loop
Dear Mrs Robles, you repeat the row 3 as before until you get the 39 large ch-loops (size M), but finish the last row with 1 sc+3ch+1 sc in 4th ch in last loop. happy crocheting!
On pattern 111-25 it says repeat row 3, i.e inc 1 loop every row. There are no instructions as to how to increase.
Dear Mrs Quoiba, row 3 includes the inc, so that you can just repeat row 3, you will inc 1 loop every row. Happy crocheting !
I recently completed this pattern in red with black flowers. It is stunning and I love it!
I am trying to assemble and get lost at "divide for armholes". Also, when attaching left and right front, do they attach to the beginning edge (narrower) of the bolero section or the wider end? I can't see how to make the assembly match the front curve of the pattern! Please help!!!
Dear Laura, when you divide for armholes, you just continue left front piece working on the 7-9 (see sizes) first large ch-loops, i.e. from outer edge towards back piece. this will form the front pieces. Back pieces will be in bewteen, armholes = skipped large loops. Happy crocheting !
The increase 14 chain, on return with the sc ch3 sc in 3rd chain repeat in 5th chain, turn chain 14, For the beginning increases leaves a larger unpleasant looking awkward pentagon "hole". Have u reprised the pattern or is this flaw to be ignored. Kinda hard to ignore that large a mismatch loop. Have frogged 3times and am ready for self frontal lobotomy via crochet hook.

Well I have undone the lot and competed a small and its fine!!! for my 39' bust but I think that you must amend the pattern when casting on in that one must chain loosely along with all increases as when completing dc all around the edge it is rather tight .
Can you give sizes in inches. I am making size XL as I am a 39inch bust. I have crochet up to divide but it seems very large. Many thanks
Dear Susan, please change the language of the pattern choosing below the picture : american english, you'll find the measurements in inches and the whole pattern in us english. Happy crocheting !
Hi, My question is how to assemble? Which side of the piece has the first loop on front piece? Could you please some more information on assembling the pieces? Soumya
I really am inclined to finish this pattern, but up till now, I can't figure out the divide thing. Looking at the schematic diagram, I have tried several ways for my work to look as in the diagram. Please explain precisely where and how to divide the piece after having 35 big ch-loops. I can't follow the pattern at all after the inc is complete. Help pls!!! Thanks for your patience.
So now instead of working over all loops, you work over the first 7 loops, then turn around like if you had been at the end of row, work back to front edge again, turn and work the 7 loops again, turn and so on. This is your right front piece. When finished, cut yarn, go back and work left front the same way, attach yarn and work the 7 loops back and forth. Then attach yarn, skip 1 loop each side on back for armholes, and work back and forth on 19 loops for back.
Hi, I'm confused with this part: BACK PIECE: Crochet on the middle 19-19-19-21-21-23 large ch-loops, each armhole = 1-3-5-5-7-7 large loops. Do I have to crochet 19 large ch loops (S size) in the middle of the whole ch loops? And also this one: ASSEMBLY: I find under arms which needs to be crocheted together, not shoulder. Am I right? Please help,Thanks.
Yes, continuing after armholes only work in the 19 large loops in the middle of the row. At the end crochet shoulder together. Hi.. thanx for the tutorial. Now, I learn to make one for my sister, wish me luck :D
I feel you need to re-write this pattern. It is so confusing I've been trying all day with no luck. It's after the repeat on rows that I can't figure it out. I bought the yarn for this pattern and now I'm so desapointed That's my luck
Can somebody help me with this pattern
Regarding the sizes XL-XXL-XXXL What are the bust measurements in inches want to know if I'm crocheting the right size
Indira, this design does not provide a chart, but describes in text what to do row by row.
Hi, It is beautiful .I want to try to crochet this bolero. If you have diagramatic instructions I can follow and understand. Help .
Unfortunately we are not able to answer all individual questions, so if you need help with this pattern please contact the shop that sold you your yarn, or look for help in one of the forums.
Hi, how many rows are there to complete the BOLERO stage of this pattern. I'm working on the medium size. Also, i can't understand the instruction on wer and how to divide for the armholes.. On the RIGHT FRONT PIECE, wer is the 1st 7 large chain-loops located? tnx..
Hi, I'm doing d medium size bolero but I'm confused w/ dis instruction,especialy d last part:(Repeat row 3, i.e. inc 1 loop on every row, until there are 39 large ch-loops on row, finish the last row as follows: 1 sc + 3 ch + 1 sc in 4th ch in last ch-loop). Is d row w/ 39 loops d LAST ROW? will i do d same 4 d last row d instruction for Row 3, coz i can't make 39 loops if i follow d last part of d instruction (1 sc + 3 ch + 1 sc in 4th ch in last ch-loop).pls reply.tnx.
I dont understan the back and front make separate
That is what the pattern say but can you please tell me step by step how to knit the gague
Daniela, the crochet gauge is measured on the large chain spaces on the body piece and the width of 4.5 ch-loops and the height of 5 ch-loops should equal 10 x 10 cm / 4’’ x 4’’ when piece is placed flat
Can you explain better how to knit the gague for this pattern
Obrigada, aguardo resposta, Mariza
Sheena, the pattern explains how to turn after x number of loops, this is how you will get the pieces divided. For further assistance please contact your yarn shop.
I cannot figure out how I divide this piece! If someone could please give me a little more specific instruction I would really appreciate it!
Liz, only work in the large loops. At the end of the rows inc by making an extra loop in the last loop on row: 7 ch, 1 sc in 3rd ch in last large ch-loop, 3 ch, 1 sc in the same ch, 7 ch and 1 sc in 8th ch in last large ch-loop, turn piece. Now you have 2 large bows starting next row and crochet in each one of them as before i.e: * 7 ch, 1 sc in the middle ch in next large ch-loop (skip the small ch-loop), 3 ch, 1 sc in the same ch *, repeat from *-*
It seems I am not alone with an increasing problem.Do I make two loops out of the previous 14ch loop, turn ch14 and thengo into the loop formed between the 3rd and 8th ch of previous row?
Hi Liz You make the sc under and around the loop. That is how it's done. We hope this helps you to continue, but if it doesn't, we kindly ask you to go to the shop where you bought the yarn. When you buy original Garnstudio yarn, you will get all the help you may need. Our shops are always there to give their customers help, also by phone or email.
Am writing again as previous post did not make sense. When doing the sc in the middle of the previous row chain loop do I go though the 4th stitch or just under the loop? I have been going under the loop and it does not look right. I am new to crocheting so any help would be appreciated. Thanks
When doing the sc in the previous row chain di i go though the 4th chain stitch or just the chain loop
In the American English version of the pattern, the instructions after round 5 of the flower say to "Place the centre of flower on the row of dc...". I'm confused about this because I can't find where in the pattern it told me to do a row of dc. Is it supposed to be instead that it's attached to the row of sc that was done during the assembly section?
Elizabeth, you attach the yarn by making a sl st in 4th chain in first ch7-bow in beg of round, then ch 7 and then 1 sc + 3 ch + 1 sc in the middle st in the first large ch-loop from previous row, continue across the row as before and finish with 1 sc + 3 ch + 1 sc in 4th ch in last ch-loop, turn piece
I'm working on the left front piece but am having trouble because I can't figure out how to reattach my yarn after cutting it when I completed the right front side. How and where (in the 7ch? or where you 1sc+3ch+1sc?) do you attach the yarn to begin working on the left side? Thanks.
I didn't find the instructions clear, I got all the way to the back part, but it didn't make sense, It would help if the site have pictures of each piece with it, so I know how it's supposed to look like or at least mentioned someth in the text as you go and work on the piece. They is many gaps in instructions.
Love your website, but I need help with this pattern 111-25 I can get thru row 1 but on row 2 it says to 14 ch, 1 sc in the middle ch in the in 7 ch in first ch-loop from previous row.....you end row 1 w/sc HELP
Length.
I understand that the measurements are equal. "You measure from the starting edge" is this length or width measurement?
All measurements in charts are in cm. At the top of the pattern there is a link to a converter.
23 cm and 9 inches are the same. You measure from starting edge. After dividing continue in same pattern as before.
Also, on the diagram, what do the numbers stand for, is it the large loops, or cm or inches?
I have finished all the increases with row 3. On the pattern where it says "At the same time" where do you take the measurement for this, I am making a large so it should be 23 cm or 9 inches? Second, The additional pieced, right front, left front, and back call for you to continue crochet. Does that mean use the same stitch pattern of ch 7, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc in middle of large loop for the given number of loops? Thanks for your help. Blessings & Peace
Approximately how many rows is it i am suppused to make after the increase? I have been following size medium and i am at about 19cm now that i am done with increase.. sounds very short with the rest
Hi, repeating row 3 will inc 1 loop on each row, and it will be in alternating sides.
Hello, I am new to your site and crochet. I want to be sure that I am increasing correctly. Should the piece take on a tapered shape on the ends of the rows as it seems like I am adding to the original row when I make the turn to start the new row. Thank you.
Kjempefin!
Just beautiful. Simple and elegant. A must have.
The border flowers are described in the French but not in the English version.
Dit vindt ik een beeldig vestje
